Always improving! Nice work. I love the quality on this one. The little sounds that flare up in certain spots, really add a little something to this and I'm all for it.

SpeedoRH responds:

Hey man! It's great to see you under my music again. To be fair, it's been so long since I have heard this remix that I forgot up until now how it sounded like xD

Also, I wanna take a moment to thank you for getting this frontpaged. It's not the first time you have done me this huge favour. You are the real MVP man!

Again, thank you so much!

I can't understand a word you're saying. So I can't tell if it's funny, stupid, satire, etc, whatever. I would dial back the reverb and maybe annunciate a little more clearly? Maybe this would be better/funnier, in the context with an animation or something, but it just sounded just someone choking for 26 seconds. I'm giving 2.5 stars because I hate giving 0 and since I don't want to discourage anyone from doing doing anything creative, I can only encourage you to keep at it and hopefully the next one will be easier to understand. I hope this helps!

The transcript is: "And now it's time to prafram (patois for perform) the precursory ceremonious act of pre-yeeting my jenital. For after I have completed the required ceremony, I will yeet my jenital, fr fr."

If you would prefer listening to a skit of the same individual, may I recommend this one that has much better recording and sound design:

Love this! Great vocals and all around sound! Would you be interested in doing a collab sometime? Would absolutely love to get your vocals on something and would definitely be open to do something instrumental work if you're ever interested.

BeyondOurEyes responds:

Thanks for the love! I'd be down to do guest vocals or something on a track of yours for a small fee, shoot me a message on my official Facebook so we can discuss in more detail!

Really nice work. Love the ebb and flows on this. Nothing too intense, but it draws back just enough to really build a 'story' for the listener. Great job.

HollandAlbright responds:

Thank you so much!

I dig it. Definitely can hear the LP influence. What are you using for your guitar sounds? That would be my only real gripe. Is that tone. It's very grungy and I feel it could honed in a lot better to really cut through the mix clearer. Overall, great first submission and congrats on the FP! Looking forward to hearing more from you.

factzmachine responds:

Thanks! I used a Behringer heavy metal pedal and a Epiphone with heavy bottom, light top Ernie ball strings. I agree it’s a little gritty and more in the grunge side, and yeah, I should’ve turned the mid and high tones down. Other than that, glad you like it!

Sick tune man! Gained a fan!

DarkGod666 responds:

Ayy, thanks for listening!

I dig it! Not usually a dubstep kinda guy but I try to find appreciation in other genres. Well mixed and some cool nuances in there. Keep it up dude!

Casporb responds:

Glad you enjoyed! :D

Very cool! Love the little nuances you added in for a little extra flare. Nice production quality too

octopus58 responds:

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it and noticed the detail :D

This sounds very immersing. Feels like I'm lost in a jungle and some predatory type thing is about to kill me. Nice work! Always enjoy hearing your pieces!

awardwinninggardens responds:

Glad you're having associations like that, thank you kindly :)

I think the musicianship/writing is really solid, however the mixing (in my opinion) needs some work. It's very muddy and a lot of things blur together. I know it's a WIP so I'm not trying to judge too hard so forgive me if what I'm about to suggest you're already aware of. (I don't know how long you've been using Fl Studios.

1. The drums really seem far in the background. Only really the cymbals standout. The kick and snare aren't really seperated. Almost they're gain-staged much lower in the mix. I personally like a beefy kick to stand out and a snappy snare. Are the drums parallel compressed? They could really help things stand out. Several youtube tutorials on it if you need to know how.

2. Doesn't seem to be a lot of low end. Is there bass recorded yet? Would definitely like to hear some boomy bass and tight low in, to really round out the mix.

3. The guitars aren't really "clear". I can make out certain riffs and notes, and from what I'm hearing, it sounds like you're writing is really good. I certainly like the structure so far and the high energy of the song. But really wanna hear the guitar (and for that matter each separate instrument) cutting through the mix a bit better.

For a WIP, this is a good start. I would love to hear this as a final mix/master! Keep it up!

Dadlur responds:

Thank you for the short review! The entire point of the ep is to sound like it's recorded on a 4 track cassette recorder in a bassement somewhere, so the poor sounding mix is intentional rather than a lack of skill. Thanks again.
